Hospital Registration Data Now Online
DESCRIPTION: Hospital registration data for 2006 are posted on the Ohio Department of Health (ODH) Web site. Information includes accreditation status, ownership status, inpatient and outpatient volume, emergency department visits, beds in use with occupancy percentage and length of stay, county of origin of inpatients, number of employees and full time equivalents and number of medical staff by specialty. The data are required by Ohio law to be reported to ODH by March 1 of each year.

DESCRIPTION: Provided by the Kaiser Commission on Medicaid and the Uninsured, the online Medicaid database allows user to compare Medicaid benefits across the states and U.S. territories and by specific service. The tool provides information on benefits covered, limits, co-payments and reimbursement.
National Breast Cancer Foundation
DESCRIPTION: The National Breast Cancer Foundation recently launched this site with education and support for breast cancer patients. Users can create their own Web pages, download photos, journal about their experiences and e-mail family and friends. It also allows breast cancer patients to participate in online discussions about their diagnosis, treatment and recovery.
