Bryan J. Bucklew
President and Chief Executive Officer
Bryan Bucklew has been the President & CEO of
the Greater Dayton Area Hospital Association since September, 2005.
As President, he collaborates with the GDAHA Board of Trustees to
develop the organization's vision and strategy. Bryan oversees
general operations and management of staff that is focused on
implementation and coordination of health information technology;
intensive data analytics on process and quality of care; community
leadership on disaster preparedness; and local, state and federal
legislative and regulatory impacts. Under his leadership, GDAHA was
recognized in 2007 by the Dayton Business Journal as both the
Non-Profit Organization of the Year and the Business of the Year.
Bryan was born and raised in the Dayton area, and attended Wright
State where he earned a BA in Political Science. He went on to earn
a Masters Degree in Public Administration from U.D. He started his
career working for U.S. Congressman Tony Hall, moving on to become
Vice President of Public Policy and Economic Development for the
Dayton Area Chamber of Commerce. Bryan is very active in the
community, having served as Board Chair for the Greater Dayton
Regional Transit Authority; A Special Wish Advisory Board; and
Chair of the 2008 and 2009 Culture Works campaigns. Bryan was
recognized as a "40 under 40" honoree in 1999 and named one of
Dayton's Most Influential business leader's in 2011 by the Dayton
Business Journal. Bryan lives in Springboro with his wife, Karen
Sollars, and their three children, Jenna, Meghan and Sam.

Patricia K. Bernitt
Vice President of Finance and Emergency Medical
Systems
As the Chief Financial Officer for GDAHA, Pat
fulfills the organization's corporate financial obligations. She
also is the regional coordinator for the Assistant Secretary for
Preparedness and Response (ASPR) grant in West Central Ohio.
Because of her role in emergency response systems with the Disaster
Medical Assistance Team (DMAT), Pat is also an employee of the
Department of Health & Human Services. Pat coordinates the
Domestic Preparedness Committee, EMS Coordinators Committee,
Infection Control Committee, and the Southwest Ohio Health Care
Affiliates (SOHCA). Pat is an invaluable member of the GDAHA team,
having been with the organization for 32 years now. She grew up in
Cincinnati and graduated from the University of Maryland. She and
her husband live in Greene County and have one daughter. When she's
not working, Pat enjoys music, travel and motorcycling.

Kathy Hart
Vice President of Public Affairs
Kathy Hart joins GDAHA after working nearly 20 years
as a News Anchor and Reporter in the Dayton area. As Vice President
of Public Affairs, Kathy will assist the President and CEO in
communicating informational and position statements of the
association. As the primary back-up for GDAHA on all aspects of
domestic preparedness, Kathy will coordinate organizational
communications with hospitals, public health agencies and other
relevant partners in the event of an emergency situation. She will
serve as staff leadership on the Public Affairs Committee; the HR
Directors Committee; and enhance social media tools that assist in
communicating GDAHA's message. Kathy grew up in Boston,
Massachusetts, and has a BA in Journalism from UMass; and a MS in
Mass Communication from Miami University. Kathy is married to Ed
Young, a former U.D. basketball standout and member of the UD Hall
of Fame. They live in Warren County with their two boys, Noah and
Jake. Kathy volunteers fundraising and raising awareness for Oak
Tree Corner, a local grief program for children who have lost a
parent or sibling.
Tim Kernan
Director of Health Initiatives
As Director of Health Initiatives, Tim is
responsible for planning, coordination and implementation of
activities related to health improvement for member hospitals. He
coordinates the Nurse Executives Committee; Social Work Directors
Committee; Patient Account Managers Committee; Southwest Ohio
Regional Trauma System (SORTS) Committee; Registrars Subcommittee
and Performance Improvement Subcommittee. Tim will also represent
GDAHA on community committees such as the Montgomery County Frail
Elderly Advisory Committee; Low Birth Weight Task Force; Child
Death Prevention Committee and Indigent Care Consortium. Tim
attended UD where he received a degree in Marketing and
Communications. Tim has worked for NewPage (formerly Mead Paper);
and was project manager on the FQHC Initiative for Public Health
and the Hospital Association. Tim lives in Miamisburg with his
wife, Jill, and their three daughters, Katie, Caraline and
Calleigh. He serves on the Bishop Leibold School Board, and in his
spare time, enjoys coaching, traveling and reading a good
mystery.
Marty Larson
Executive Director of the Greater Dayton Area Health
Information Network
As the Executive Director of the Greater Dayton Area
Health Information Network (GDAHIN), Marty is responsible for the
coordination of the Health Information Technology efforts that are
going on in the Dayton area. He is working with teams from area
hospitals on deploying the Health Information Exchange
functionality that will connect providers, physicians and the
public. He is also working with other staff members from the
Greater Dayton Area Hospital Association, the Tri-State REC and the
Ohio Health Information Partnership (OHIP), assisting providers in
the adoption of Electronic Health Records. Prior to his appointment
as Executive Director, Marty played a vital role in the development
of the Collaborating Communitities Health Information Exchange
(CCHIE). He served as a founding member of the CCHIE board and as
its treasurer, and continues to lead the organization as its
Executive Director. In addition to his role with GDAHIN, Marty has
assisted other Health Information Exchanges (HIE) through
consulting for staff, board members and other interested parties on
how to develop their organizations. In this capacity, he has
assisted in developing governance structures, giving guidance on
performing environmental scans, constructing business plans and
formulating projecting budgets and ROI's. Marty has an
undergraduate degree from Cedarville Collage and a Master's Degree
from Antioch University McGregor. He lives in Xenia with his wife,
Sara, and their three children, Lydia, Tabitha and Noah. He is a
member of HIMSS; serves as treasurer of the Women's Recovery Center
in Xenia; and is a Deacon at Emmanuel Baptist Church.

Sandy Lehrter
Executive Assistant and Office Manager
Sandy assists the President & CEO as Executive
Assistant and also functions as the Office Manager for the entire
organization. At GDAHA, she provides support to staff for special
projects, coordinates meeting space, and plans special events.
Sandy coordinates the GDAHA Board of Trustees meetings and the
annual meeting of the GDAHA Committee Chairs. She also serves as
support staff for the Greater Miami Valley EMS Council. Sandy has
been with GDAHA for 10 years. Originally from Parkersburg, West
Virginia, Sandy came to Dayton to attend U.D., where she graduated
with a degree in Psychology. She lives in Clayton with her husband,
Sean, and their two daughters, Kaitlyn and Meghan.

Jill Neitzel
Accounting Clerk and Administrative
Assistant
As Accounting Clerk and Administrative Assistant,
Jill is responsible for maintaining and preparing accounts
receivable and accounts payable for GDAHA, GDAHIN, and SOHCA. In
this role, Jill is involved in accounts payable and purchase orders
for Brighter Futures and other non-profit grant accounts. She also
coordinates data and correspondence between GDAHA and member
hospitals to create monthly utilization and ancillary reports. Jill
also works with staff on special assignments, projects, and
functions as needed. Jill was born and raised in the Dayton area,
and has one daughter. When she's not working, Jill likes to spend
time outdoors - gardening, hiking and riding her motorcycle.
Lisa Rindler
Vice President of Information Services
Lisa Rindler serves as the Vice President of
Information Services for GDAHA. She coordinates all of the
organization's data services and reports and is also responsible
for the organization's internal information technology services.
She maintains Surgenet.org, a service of GDAHA, that includes an
Emergency Department Reroute System, a National Disaster Medical
System (NDMS)/Hospital Bed Availability System, and a Local Mass
Casualty Incident System. Additionally, she serves as the contact
between GDAHA and the domestic preparedness regional coordinators
throughout the State of Ohio and the Director of Emergency
Management for the Ohio Hospital Association. Lisa manages the
Health Information Management Committee. Lisa has beeen with GDAHA
since 1998. She has previous experience with Kettering Health
Network, Miami Valley Hospital and Columbus Children's Hospital.
Lisa graduated from The Ohio State University with a B.S. in Health
Information Management and Systems. She is a certified Registered
Health Information Administrator (RHIA) with the American Health
Information Management Association. She lives in Tipp City with her
husband; three sons, Jared, Adam and Jason; and Buckley - an
adorable Goldendoodle. In her spare time she enjoys traveling,
reading, and watching her boys' sporting events.
